Why is it that the first thing vegans try to do when making vegan food is replicate anything that has meat in it? Why not make something completely new and delicious rather than making a sub par version of what we already enjoy? The last time I went to a vegan restaurant the waitress told me that their specialty was meat loaf… MEAT LOAF! Why in god’s name would you try to make something that’s main ingredient is the one thing you can’t have? They should be trying to make a bad ass cornbread, and you wanna know why? Because the main ingredient is CORN! These are the same people who try and convince me that I shouldn’t eat chicken mcnuggets because there is hardly any real meat in them. What’s the difference? We are both living a lie. You let me pretend that I’m eating the part of a chicken thats shaped like a boot, and I’ll pretend your vegan BLT isn’t a salad stacked on bread.

In college I had some friends that would occasionally whip up some vegan food. They used those actual words. “Food.”
I know we’ll get a lot of guff for this, but that stuff is disgusting. On a completely unrelated note, I once had vegan cookies cookies and those things were delicious.
